1. Beach Paintings
I love working with acrylic paint because it so much more versatile than oils or watercolours. You can mix almost anything into acrylic paint, including sand to give it texture. If there is a beach you love, you can have a painting of it with its sand being a part of it. We can discuss the colours you prefer.
3. "Stained Glasses"
I have also made what I like to call "stained glasses"’ using old pairs of glasses to produce dragonflies and butterflies that catch the light in a window and change with the time of day and the weather. I’d be happy to try to incorporate your old glasses, or those of a loved one, into a piece of art.
2. Glass Mosaics
The other beach related art that I enjoy doing involves the use of beach glass. In the past they had bottles and jars made from beautifully coloured glass and this comes back to us, wonderfully smooth and frosted on our beaches. I have used this material to create what I call glass mosaics.
4. Leaves
Everyone has a favourite leaf. Me, I like oak leaves because they seem to last longer than all the others. I enjoy making art with leaves. If you have a favourite leaf and want to make an artwork with me, let’s talk.
